The 3rd ESD network live in Oberkochen

The 3rd ESD network live in Oberkochen

Karl, Keinath, Nora and Wanzl - four companies, four presentations and plenty of expertise: the third ESD Network live was once again the meeting point for more than 50 specialists from the field of electrostatic discharge (ESD) in March 2019. In the extraordinary atmosphere of the Zeiss Forum Oberkochen, the speakers reported on the latest developments in the field of ESD protection - and ventured a look into the future.

These were the topics of the day:

  • Organizational measures for ESD protection in production, e.g. Share Point (Arben Mazlomaj, Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH)
  • ESD testers and active implants (Harald Funk, Conti Temic microelectronic GmbH)
  • Overview of the ESD standards series, current status and future prospects (Markus Keinath, KEINATH Electronic GmbH)
  • ESD access concepts in assembly (Karl-Heinz Vandrey, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG)

A particular highlight was the guided tour of the Carl Zeiss Museum, where the participants learned exciting facts about the optical and optoelectronic industry and had time to talk to each other in a relaxed atmosphere. The specially organized exhibition on the topics of EPA, workplace, storage, packaging and transport as well as access control and employee training also provided added value.
