KARL and Christiani launch new laboratory tables on the market

Together, they combine almost 175 years of experience and expertise. Both the manufacturer of workplace systems KARL from Fahrenzhausen in Bavaria and the training provider Christiani from Constance were founded in the 1930s. Now both companies are using their tradition and innovative strength to launch new teaching systems for initial and further training.

The companies KARL and Christiani are what we call "hidden champions". KARL has developed from a craft business into Europe's leading specialist for ESD-compatible workplace and logistics systems. Christiani began as the first distance learning institute in Germany. Today, the company is a full-service provider in the field of technical training and further education. The product range extends from technical books and other teaching media to training systems and complete laboratories and workshops for initial and further training.

The two companies are pooling their expertise as workplace system and training providers to jointly develop ergonomic, practical workplace solutions for technical training and further education.

"The cooperation with Christiani is a real stroke of luck for us," explains Andreas Karl, Managing Director of KARL GmbH & Co. "Because with Christiani, we can fill a niche in our portfolio and offer products that perfectly meet the needs of training and further education."

The first products are already available: these are four laboratory tables and a training station system, which are used in training and further education in electrical engineering, mechatronics and automation technology, among others. KARL designed and manufactured the new laboratory table line in collaboration with Christiani. The laboratory tables are equipped with supply modules, electronic devices and an experiment frame. Learning boards from Christiani are hung in this frame, which trainees use to learn the basics of their subject. In addition to the tables and other "hardware components", Christiani also offers didactically prepared documents that trainers can use to impart the required knowledge to learners.

Christiani is also pursuing big goals with the cooperation. "KARL fulfills our requirements for an efficient teaching system to a particularly high degree," explains Ralf Detzel, Managing Director at Christiani. "Because KARL knows the requirements of the industry inside out. The products are particularly ergonomic and practical. And it is precisely this kind of practical relevance that is important in training and further education."

Both companies are therefore starting off with high expectations and it will be interesting to see which solutions for training and further education will be developed.
