In high-tech environments, reliability is not a bonus – it is a basic requirement. TriMax has been specially developed for areas that place the highest demands on a workplace – whether in terms of ESD safety, ergonomic flexibility or technical functionality.

To ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards, we manufacture them – wherever possible – at our own production facilities in Germany. In this article, you can find out where the components come from and how the TriMax is made.

What is TriMax?

TriMax is a modular workstation system for industrial applications. It has been developed for professionals who carry out measurement, testing and documentation tasks on a daily basis. It is therefore primarily used in production environments and laboratories.

Compared with traditional workbenches, the TriMax is designed as a comprehensive workstation system – and is therefore more versatile than a conventional ESD workbench. The advantages:

  • Height-adjustable and programmable
  • ESD protection
  • Integrated safety modules (e.g. emergency stop)
  • Modular power strips and data interfaces
  • Integrated LED desk lamp
  • Ergonomic adjustability

TriMax can therefore adapt to a wide variety of requirements and can be reconfigured in no time at all, with virtually no tools required. This makes it the ideal component for the Industry 4.0 workflow. Processes and procedures can change rapidly, and TriMax allows the necessary adjustments to be made quickly and easily.

These components are manufactured in-house

Top quality is our priority. To ensure that we work exclusively with the very best materials, we rely on a combination of in-house production and established partnerships. In-house, we primarily manufacture steel components and modules. These include:

  • Table frames
  • Storage boards
  • Electrical connection strip
  • Multifunctional arm
  • Drawer units
  • and much more

Very few components of our workstation systems are sourced externally; instead, the finished solutions are created in-house – from the initial concept right through to quality control. Our staff carry out the planning, design, manufacture and assembly on site. When it comes to manufacturing the TriMax, we leave nothing to chance.

Collaboration with established partners

Where possible, we manufacture the components ourselves. In some areas, however, we draw on the expertise of other specialists. In particular, we source electronic components from reliable, established partners. Examples of these include:

  • Circuit breaker
  • Indicator lights
  • Compressed air quick-connect couplings
  • Pressure gauge

It is important to us to support local suppliers as well. We source our table tops from a local joinery workshop. They are already fitted with ESD protection and have all the necessary holes drilled into them there. Once delivered to our premises, the table tops are fitted onto the table frames on site.

Production facility in Fahrenzhausen

We manufacture our products at our own premises in Fahrenzhausen, where our head office is also located. This means we always have a clear overview of what is happening on the production floor and benefit from short lines of communication.

The individual components are brought together at the factory and assembled into the finished TriMax. Components that we manufacture ourselves are fitted with ESD protection at this stage. These include the table frames, superstructures and shelving. Thanks to powder coating and specialised processing, the products are made ESD-safe and are therefore suitable for use in electronics manufacturing. In addition to the TriMax, all other KARL workstation systems are manufactured directly on site.

Yes, KARL is Europe's leading specialist for ESD-compatible workstation systems. Our systems fulfil the strict requirements of the DIN EN 61340-5-1 standard and use conductive materials such as HPL table tops and dissipative powder coatings to reliably protect sensitive electronics.
