The TriMax is ESD-safe, modular and height-adjustable – and is available in three versions. Find out here exactly what the differences are between the Light, Comfort and Premium models, and which version best suits your needs.

What is the TriMax?

The TriMax from KARL is an excellent choice for electronics manufacturing, measurement and testing laboratories, or research facilities. This workstation system has been specially designed for high-tech environments and the ever-increasing demands placed on them – meeting the highest standards of safety, ergonomics and efficiency.

That is why the TriMax is:

  • ESD-safe
  • easy to convert
  • sustainable
  • modular in design

Why are there different versions?

Production and manufacturing processes vary from one company to another. To respond flexibly to these different needs, we have developed a range of options: TriMax Light, TriMax Comfort and TriMax Premium. All three models feature a stylish design, ESD safety and are manufactured in Germany. High-quality table tops, cable trays with integrated privacy screens beneath the table top, drawer units made from sheet steel or wood, and lighting in two different lengths are also available in the Light, Comfort and Premium ranges.

However, there are minor differences in terms of functions, features and use cases.

TriMax Light: fast, ESD-safe and versatile

The TriMax Light is an attractively designed and stable workbench for medium-duty applications. It has a load capacity of 3000 N – which makes it slightly ‘less powerful’ than the other models, but also faster. It lifts loads at a speed of 20 mm per second.

Thanks to its integrated earthing system, the TriMax Light is ESD-compliant and is ideal for use in electronics manufacturing or other work carried out in electrostatic-protected areas.

Synchronised control allows both table frames to be moved at the same time. This is particularly useful if you need a larger workspace. Incidentally, the TriMax Light is available in four standard table widths and one standard depth.

Standard accessories include a monitor mount with a gas spring and power sockets recessed into the tabletop. A vertical configuration or integrated power strips are not available.

TriMax Comfort and TriMax Premium: the all-rounders

Anyone looking for even greater connectivity, flexibility and durability would be well advised to choose the TriMax Comfort and TriMax Premium models. Both versions are based on the same table frame.

With a load capacity of 4,000 N, they are considerably more robust than the Light version – but also a little slower. They lift loads at a speed of 12 mm per second. Like the TriMax Light, the TriMax Comfort and TriMax Premium feature an integrated earthing system and are therefore suitable for use in areas protected against electrostatic discharge. The TriMax Comfort and TriMax Premium can be controlled synchronously as a combination of several tables and are not limited to two table frames. These two variants are available in four standard widths and two standard depths.

The main difference compared with the TriMax Light is that the Comfort and Premium models come with more standard modules. However, these vary depending on the version. Whilst the TriMax Light can be configured without a table extension, the TriMax Comfort and TriMax Premium versions can be customised with a range of vertical extension options.

The Comfort and Premium variants also offer a wider range of accessories. They come as standard with monitor mounts fitted with gas springs, adaptors for articulated arm lamps, flat-screen mounts, universal tablet mounts and laptop mounts.

Which TriMax is right for you?

The TriMax impresses with its versatility. Depending on your requirements, the sleek TriMax Light may be all you need. The TriMax Premium is ideal for anyone who has high expectations regarding the electrification options for their workbench. It offers the widest range of mounting options for various modules.

The TriMax Comfort bridges the gap between the two – as versatile as the TriMax Premium, but with a more streamlined range of features and flexibility.
