Reliability is a must in electronics production. Especially when working in compliance with ESD regulations, you need a workbench that protects sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharge. This is where our TriMax into play.

TriMax is as versatile as a chameleon. Read this article to find out which variants are available and why TriMax is proving its worth in electronics production in particular.

ESD safety in electronics production

Electronic components are changing: they are becoming smaller, more sensitive and more complex. This also increases the requirements for ESD-compliant workstations.

ESD stands for electrostatic discharge. It is one of the greatest risks in electronics production - and can cause considerable damage in an emergency. This is because sensitive components can be severely damaged and rendered unusable by even a small discharge. Such damage is often only noticed when the device fails at the customer's premises. You can find out more about this in our knowledge area on ESD safety.

Like all our systems, TriMax benefits from our many years of experience in the manufacture of ESD tables. By using the right material and a strictly controlled manufacturing process, we ensure that our products fulfil the highest quality and safety standards. This is how we prevent charges from occurring in the first place.

Ergonomics and flexibility in electronics production

In electronics production, incorrect posture can have a negative impact on product quality. Whether soldering, assembling or testing - work here is often carried out with millimetre precision. The sitting position has to be right.

Ergonomics and ESD safety play a major role in component assembly, where the already assembled PCBs are joined together with other hardware elements. TriMax can be electrically adjusted in height so that every fitter can work comfortably. The workbench is particularly suitable for this type of work due to its ESD conformity.

In cable assembly, the right workstation helps to minimise errors. Because this is where dexterity is key. A well-lit workbench makes it easier to cut the cables precisely to size, and stripping - i.e. removing insulation without damaging the conductor - also requires less effort. We have therefore designed TriMax so that the work surface is always pleasantly brightly lit.

Some jobs, such as transformer soldering, have completely different demands on the workstation system. Here, it is not precision that is important, but resilience. This is because the often very heavy components demand a lot from the workbench. Furthermore, additional safety precautions are required here, which TriMax has been specially equipped with.

When versatility is required: TriMax

In electronics production, everything often comes together: Sometimes dexterity is required and sometimes resilience. That's why you need a workplace that fulfils the diverse requirements. These include

  • ESD safety
  • Easy to convert
  • Load capacity
  • Modular design

Its versatility, ESD conformity and resilience make TriMax the ideal workstation system for the diverse tasks involved in electronics production.

Are you also looking for a workstation system that grows with your requirements? We will be happy to advise you. Contact us now without obligation.

Customised production is one of our greatest strengths. All KARL products are consistently modular in design. This enables us to produce exactly the right workstation for every customer. You can also choose from a wide catalogue of add-ons such as lighting, power supply or special shelves.

Yes, KARL is Europe's leading specialist for ESD-compatible workstation systems. Our systems fulfil the strict requirements of the DIN EN 61340-5-1 standard and use conductive materials such as HPL table tops and dissipative powder coatings to reliably protect sensitive electronics.

No, there are no minimum quantities at KARL. As we have our own production facilities, we manufacture individual items with the same precision and care as large series.

The regular delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of the order. This period includes internal order processing, customised production in our factory in Bavaria and final delivery.
